Ha!  You’ve been clickbaited!  But that’s okay.  Because there is, in fact, a free tea giveaway.  Everyone knows about the famous Sleepytime tea from Celestial Seasonings (the one with the cute, sleepy bear on the box!!).  When I was planning out my recent trip to Colorado, I was super thrilled to learn that Celestial Seasonings was born in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I knew I had to check them out!

Celestial Seasonings started as the U.S.’s first herbal tea company in 1969. Company Co-Founder Mo Siegel hand-picked the freshest, wild-grown herbs from the Rockies, put them into hand sewn muslin bags and started selling the first Celestial Seasonings tea!

Celestial Seasonings offers free tours in the beautiful Boulder Colorado. The tour starts in the tasting tea room where you can try any of the teas Celestial Seasonings offer. I was there in the beginning and at the end of the tour because I just couldn’t get enough of the tasty teas! The tour then includes a short film about the company, and then you enter the factory.  Where the magic happens.  Top-secret magic that we weren’t able to photograph (darn).  This part was super neat as you can smell all the different ingredients used in their herbal teas! There is also the famous mint room which was jam-packed with delicious fresh mint, the aroma was unreal! My sinus cleared right up!

One neat (and my favourite) fact is the sustainable packing for the tea bags. Unlike many other tea companies, they don’t package their teas individually or have the tags, strings, or staples on them. This saves more than 3.5 million pounds of waste from entering landfills each year.

The tour guide was full of knowledge and enthusiasm. Tea lovers visit from around the world for this amazing tour – in our tour alone, we had visitors from India, Japan and North America!  The tour ends at the tea shop and a cafe just around the corner!

  1. Really love the Ginger & Tumeric tea with some grated fresh ginger along with a dash of soda water. Of course, the soda water can be mixed in when the tea is steeped and cooled down. Then, I add in some orange peel.

    Thanks for the chance!

  2. I love replacing coffee with raspberry tea when making tiramisu. Super easy – just dip the lady fingers into raspberry tea (let cool) and prepare as usual. Top tiramisu with fresh strawberries.
