I get excited when I see a new food establishment that is not a chain in Milton and I am super excited to share my new delicious discovery, Undone – the newest food truck in Milton! Undone’s motto is, “We believe today is a blessing so leave nothing undone” and they live by this through their delicious food! Owners’ Melani and Carl’s specialty include Jamaican, Trinidadian and Sri Lankan food. It is so great to see more ethnic food in Milton!
Melani’s love for island foods and amazing hospitality for her guests came from her parents who own the Taste of Sri Lanka restaurants across Canada, opening their first location in 1990. Melani’s father gave her a food trailer as a birthday gift one year and the rest is history! In 2004, Melanie moved to Milton and immediately fell in love with the people in this town and their way of life. With her experience as a general manager at restaurants in Oakville and her extensive background working at her family’s restaurant, she took the plunge and opened Undone in Milton with her husband Carl.
Melani and Carl are big foodies and her personal favorite dish on the menu would have to be the Curry Chicken Kothu Roti (sauteed onions, tomatoes, curry leaves, and an egg tossed with chopped roti shell and curry). Its made to order so you can kick up the heat as you please. And her second favourite is the Masala Dosa (Rice crepe filled with mild potato curry served with lentil stew and coconut chutney), which is also vegan, BONUS! Melani loves these dishes because it reminds her of her family and all the happy memories food brings.
Melani and Carl want to spread joy through their food. They find it so fulfilling to see people’s reaction when they try their food! You can feel how genuine they are about serving the company delicious food and great hospitality when you speak with them. They truly want to build a community here and share their love of food with Milton.

On September 1st from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, Undone will be hosting their first annual “Island Vibes Festival”. This festival is a back to school fundraiser with portions of the proceeds going to The Darling Home for Kids and The Marley Brown Foundation. It is a platform for any Milton based business to showcase their services and causes. Guest will enjoy music played by DJ DONAVAN, delicious food including Roti, Jerk chicken, Doubles, pholourie, burgers and hot dogs for the kids, and so much more. Its a great way to end our busy summer and bring the town of Milton some Island Vibes!
