Cook Time
  • 1 lb large shrimp(if you get shrimp with shell on, just remove the shells and the vein in the back)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4cloves garlicpeeled and finely chopped
  • 1pinch salt
  • 1pinch ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc works really well)
  • 2tablespoons chopped fresh parsleyoptional – you can use dried herbs like parsley, oregano as well
  1. In a large cast iron skillet, heat to medium heat
  2. While the pan is heating up, peel and de-vein the shrimp
  3. Once the pan is heated up, put butter into the pan with the garlic
  4. Saute the garlic for about a minute and add shrimp (keep an eye on it, the shrimp cooks very fast)
  5. Flip the shrimp after the first side turns pink (should only take about a minute)
  6. Once all the shrimp are flipped, season with salt, pepper and add wine
  7. Let the wine cook out and evaporate for about 2 minutes
  8. Serve over pasta, rice, or eat on its own! Sprinkle parsley on top as a garnish if you wish!
