Inspired to Taste hosted by Hudson’s Bay and Taste Canada featured three events in the month of May. I have been a fan of Chef Matt Basile’s food truck and when I saw he was one of the chefs being featured for this event, I was ecstatic!
Held at The Hudson’s Bay at the Toronto Eaton Centre, the 7th floor of the Bay was transformed into a food lover’s dream. There was a DJ pumping out music all night! Numerous food and beverage stations were set up from Healthy Crunch, Flow Water, Godiva, to Sawdust City Brewing, Gooderham & Worts, and Lot No.40 whisky and more!
Chef Matt Basile had a beautiful kitchen set up where he recreated a dish from his cookbook, Street Food Diaries. Matt Basile’s passion for cooking great food really shined through and he was super entertaining and interactive with the crowd!
Samples of Sriracha Cauliflower along with an eggplant meatball, and a bacon wrapped beef were handed out to the guests. I am usually not a huge fan of either cauliflower or eggplants but these dishes were full of flavours! If only everyone can make veggies taste this good!
