  1. My Boyfriend’s all time favourite pastry is the butter tart, raisin butter tart to be exact. I’ve spent a small fortune buying these for him at every farmer’s market in the summer. I decided to make them myself for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. They are easy to make and turn out great!
Dangerous to know I can whip up a large amount of these without too much notice. As for the man he is trying to convince me that they make nutritious meal replacements.

  2. My husband and I are newlyweds, and as long as we dated I always tried to cook him different foods from all over the world, and while he loves his curries, tagines and tapas, he loves nothing more than slow cooked, fall off the bone, melt-in-your mouth ribs.
I’m always on the hunt for new BBQ sauces – be they recipes or bought on our road travels through cottage county, road trips to Pittsburgh and Vermont, or travels abroad.

Frank Caputo, Rob Rainford – what’s your weapon of choice BBQ Sauce?

  3. I loved cooking Coconut Curry Chicken for my boyfriend when he was sick! Spicy and warm with texture and crunch…it was a treat for both of us! (I’d attach a picture but I can’t seem to figure that out ha!) My boyfriend does the major share of cooking for us, so the odd time when he’s sick it’s nice that I can do something for him in return!

  4. My guy loves treats and so I love to make them for him. I came upon my favourite sweet dish accidentally one day…..I was making spanakopita and had some leftover filo dough. With the leftover dough, I decided to fill it with ricotta cheese, mashed banana, chocolate chips, a drizzle of maple syrup and some toasted slivered almonds. I rolled them into little pockets and then I popped it into the oven. The result was heavenly!! Since then, that’s my go-to treat when I want to make him something special and delectable.

  6. My girlfriend is such a dessert lover. Her absolute favourite is red velvet cheesecake. I’ve made it for her probably 4 times now. The first time didn’t come out too good, being as I burnt them a bit. Luckily I’ve been getting better and she swears to me that the difference is huge from the first time I made them. Sometimes I’ll add just a tad of nutella on top because who honestly can say that nutella doesn’t make anything better.

  7. The gentleman in my life is my husband. We both like to cook but work late on weekdays so weekend meals when we both have time to cook are extra special, especially breakfast. When I cook I like to spoil my husband by making him some traditional breakfast favorites from pancakes, and waffles from scratch to something different like my own version of Huevos Rancheros with a special chorizo/potato hash check out how it turned out: https://instagram.com/p/7QBo3dzMyr/
